Spiraled Depths of Time

"Down once more
to the dungeon
of my black despair!
Down we plunge
to the prison
of my mind!"

I need a more steady job. The manager of Wolf Camera called me asking if I was still interested in a job. I of course told him yes. He said he was going to get some things together and the we'd set up an interview. This was last Monday. I called him Friday thinking maybe I misunderstood what he had said. He told me that I would hear from him later that evening. Bastard never called me. What an asshole.

I am a person who loves to come across irony, and for some reason I was thinking about irony today while I was working. I started to think about Jesus, and the irony of his death. I mean think about it, Jesus was a carpenter and he died from being nailed to two pieces of wood. I mean that is pretty ironic.

I'm counting the days before school starts as the summer slips away faster and faster down the spiraled depths of time.

Time, that's all we have.
Time to rejoice,
And Time to despair.
Time for family,
And time for friends.
Time for war,
And time for peace.
Time to think,
And time to dream.
Time to live,
And time to die.

Breaking Point

If anyone mentions the name Josh Howard around me I might just snap....It would be a shame if I just lost it and killed someone. Just Kidding, but I will have to break something.

There is no forgiveness for Josh Howard, oh no. To me he is not a Maverick anymore. Cuban should trade him, because as much as I have faith in my Mavs to go the distance again there still is a chance that they won't so I say Howard must go. I still love the Mavs. Dirk is the man, as is Jason Terry and Marquis Daniels. I can not forget Jerry Stackhouse and Adrian Griffin and Harris and Van Horn, and of course the best couch in the league is Avery Johnson and he has only been couching for two seasons.

But, Howard belongs somewhere else, let him screw some other team out of a championship.

And, if I run into any officials from the Finals. If by some small chance I bump into one of the referees from the Championship series I will punch them in the face. Not because I think the game was rigged (But I am not denying the possibility of a rigged series) No, I would punch them in the face, because they are little, whining, bitches who go cry to the commissioner everytime Mark Cuban gives them some criticism. Fuck them, and I guess I would give them another punch in the face for being so fucking incompetent.

Wade gets MVP. I hope he breaks his legs, and the Heat are forced to go a season without him, but more than Wade I really don't like Antoine Walker, and it is not because he plays for the Heat. It is not that I don't like Walker as a person, it is his face and that grin he gives when something good happens I just don't like it. Everytime he gives that god forsaken grin I just want to throw a chair at him or something.

NBA Finals

That's it....I can not watch another finals game. I am so pissed off. The first two games the Mavs made it look too easy, and now it is as if the Heat are the hardest team to beat.

Dirk is not doing shit.

We can't hit 3's.

The Mavs defense is a joke. They can not make rebounds at all, and for some reason they cannot bring themselves to cover Wade.

Josh Howard is a fucking moron. Just for that stupid move on his part that probably cost us the game I think we should trade him. I don't care if he is an asset to the team. This may have been the Mavs last chance for a NBA Championship, and Howard fucked up, and because of his fuck up we are the laughing stock of the Western Conference. He sure picked the worse time to start missing free throws. He was perfect the whole game, and then suddenly it is overtime and he turns into Shaq.

Don't get me wrong, I am still rooting for the Mavs, I just can't watch them lose the Championship. It's heartbreaking

The Heat went 3-0 at home, only one team has done that since the league changed the way the finals were set up, and that was the Pistons in 04'.

We're All to Blame: A Brief look into American Politics

It is amazing that the one band that voices a political opinion that I can agree with is Sum 41. I mean who knew that out of all the groups that try to sell their political ideologies Sum 41 is the band I find common ground with. As I watch the news I hear about Senators and House members pointing fingers at who they think is to blame for the mess that has become our government, and the course of action it has taken. I listen to people talk about who is to blame for the War in Iraq, and the slow response to Katrina. I read about who is to blame for the moral and ethical downfall of our society. All of this American politics, which has become nothing more than one giant blame game. We should all put down our fingers, and open our eyes and ears to the truth, and that is in some way, which could include even the smallest of ways, we are all to blame. No one wants to stop and think about it, because no one wants to admit that maybe we are all part of the problem, and any opposition to what is happening is only adding fuel to the fire, because that is all most people will do. All they will do is object and voice their opinions, and show no sign of actually taking action. This is government by the people, for the people or at least it is suppose to be. All I see is government by the people for the Bureaucrats. This is government created by us the people. We are responsible for the people who are allowed to run this country. When only 26% of the eligible voters actually take the time and small effort to get to the polls idiots and assholes are elected. We as a people need to stand up for this country that provides us with so much freedom, freedom that you cannot experience anywhere else. I love my country and it's people. It is a shame to see it go to hell because Republicans and Democrats can't find some middle point to agree on. The liberal media doesn't help the situation and the true conservatives remain silent knowing that their words will only be drowned out by the liberal masses, and these asshole Republicans who think they are conservatives. True conservatism is a rare thing to come by in today's America. I like to think I am a true conservative. I believe in small and limited government, I love capitalism, and I am a strict Constitutionalist.

We're All to Blame
by: Sum 41
"How can we still succeed, taking what we don't need?
Telling lies, alibis, selling all the hate that we breed.
Supersize our tragedies! (You can't define me or justify greed)
Bought in the land of the free! (Land! Free!)

And we're all to blame,
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind
To all we are,
We want it all with no sacrifice!

Realize we spend our lives living in a culture of fear.
Stand to salute; say thanks to the man of the year.
How did we all come to this? (You can't define me or justify greed)
This greed that we just can't resist! (Resist!)

And we're all to blame,
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind
To all we are,
We want it all.
Everyone wants it all with no sacrifice!

Tell me now, what have we done? We don't know.
I can't allow what has begun to tear me down,
Believe me now, we have no choice left with our
Backs against the wall!

And now we're all to blame,
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind
When all we need
Is something true
To believe,
Don't we all?
Everyone, everyone,
We will fall.

'Cause we're all to blame
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We want it all,
Everyone, don't we all?"

Miss Murder

Lately I've been thinking about the song "Miss Murder" by AFI. I've been trying to contemplate it's meaning. What hadn't accurded to me until I read an entry on the internet is that the "he" commonly reffered to in the song is Jesus, and it makes since if you think about it. It talks about how he left us all behind, and we are left to wonder why.

"With just a look they shook and heavens bound before him. Simply a look can break your heart" It could be said that he is talking about the image of Jesus being nailed to the cross. Imagine if you were there. Do you think that if Jesus looked at you while on the cross do you think a quiver might shoot down your spine? I think it would happen to me. As he is dying the heavens await him. A simple look at a man who appears so innocent suffering so much could break ones heart.

"dreams of his crash wont pass or how they all adored him." The lead singer of the AFI obviously must believe in God or at least at one time did, maybe he lost his faith, and is haunted by whatever has lead him away from his faith. I think he might find that the idea of believeing in God is a beautiful thing, but with all the pain and suffering it leads people to think that God has left us to fend for ourselves, and have come to the conclusion that God does not exist. "What's the hook, the twist within this furthest mystery? I would gladly bet my life upon it. That the ghost you love, your ray of light. Will fizzle out without hope." If people continue to believe that God has turned his back on us then the idea of God will die. I believe faith in God gives people hope, and if the idea of God dies, so does hope.

Now, the chorus. Like I said, it seems that with all the pain in the world even the singer has lost his faith, but still finds the idea of believing in God a beautiful thing, because in it we can find hope in a better tomorrow. The album cover portrays the rabbits in a circle. From what I have come to understand is that the singer was born in the year of the rabbit (chinese zodiac), which might have something to do with the image. According to the chinese zodiac the rabbit knows that there will always be a tomorrow, even a better tomorrow. The fact that there are three rabbits could lead one to think that is a represenatation of the Trinity. The rabbits form a circle, and a circle is never ending. So what could be taken from this assessment is a belief in God causes us to have faith in a better tomorrow even when everything looks like it is going to hell, which is why I believe there are the dead trees in the back ground. The name of the album is "Decemberunderground". When people think of december they think of winter, and winter can symbolize depression, death, and hopelessness.

I think he finds the idea of God so beautiful that he would gladly give his life if it meant that people could see things the same way as he does. It's almost as if he wants to be a martyr. Miss Murder I don't think symbolizes anything or anyone in particular. It is more of a way to personify murder, and it seems labeling murder miss is a cleaver alliteration. It is almost as if he is debating within himself that if he were to give his life for this cause of his would it inspire people to once again acknowledge the idea of God. He seems to see suicide as a form of murder, but if it is neccessary to keep what he finds beautiful in the world then he would be willing to sacrifice his life.

I don't know, it is just my take on the song

Who I Am

I think it is best that I explain myself, I like to get to know people so I extend the same curtsey to others.

Eye Color: Bluish-Green
Hair Color: Blonde
Height: 5'11''
Weight: 190
Relationship Status: Straight, Single
Current School: University of North Texas
Area of Study: Film and Philosophy

Interests: Music, Movies, hanging with friends, philosophy, travel, writing, random things.

Political Views: Conservative, and I mean a real conservative not these asshole Republicans that call themselves conservatives. I'm talking about a Capitalistic minded, small government wanting, strict constitutionalist. Religion and morals have no place in legislation in my book, leave that up to the individual.
Key Political Views:
Abortion - against it, but there are some special circumstances that might be lenient towards, but the decision should be either mutual amongst the man and the women or decided by a judge.

Death Penalty - for it, I think they should expand the death penalty to sex offenders too.

Gay Marriage - I can't say that I agree with it, but I believe in limited government and that means that I believe that what people do in the privacy of their own homes or their lives is their business

Illegal Immigration - they're law breakers, deport the ones here and strengthen boarder security. I don't have a problem with those who are her legally, they have respected our legal system and want only to have a better life, which is what our country is all about, but we are a nation of laws and we are a country that teaches that no man is above the law. 17 of the 19 hijackers of 9/11 were here illegally.

Flag Burning - If you don't like this country then get the fuck out
